Elliott Suthers

Elliott Suthers, vice president, is a registered federal lobbyist and specializes in public affairs and government relations. In 2011, he was named Runner-up for PRWeek’s Young Public Relations Professional of the Year Award. That same year, he and his team were named national finalists for the Holmes Report’s SABRE Award in the Technology Campaign of the Year category.

Elliott joined Spector & Associates in 2009 after working as Special Assistant to the United Nations Development Programme in Washington, D.C. In this role, Elliott was responsible for supervising the organization’s legislative affairs in addition to developing its community outreach strategies, project-related communications and lobbying.

Previously, Elliott served as an advisor to the 2008 McCain presidential campaign, performing the dual role of speechwriter and media strategist. A self-professed moderate, he has also held positions on the 2006 Senate campaign of Connecticut Democrat Joe Lieberman and the 2009 Senate run-off election of Georgia Republican Saxby Chambliss.

Before relocating to the U.S. in 2005, Elliott had worked with the Liberal Party of Australia, counseling now Opposition Leader Malcolm Turnbull’s 2004 campaign.

Elliott holds a B.A. in Conflict/Security Studies and Communications from the University of Sydney.
