Erik Schechter, account supervisor, is Spector & Associates’ resident defense and technology expert. He brings more than 12 years of experience as a journalist, writing for such publications as Monocle, The Jerusalem Post, Aerospace America, C4ISR Journal and Training & Simulation Journal, among others. He also worked as a staff correspondent at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, in New York City.
Prior to his career as a journalist, Erik served as a tank driver in the IDF Armored Corps, earning his battalion’s Excellent Soldier award for dedication to the military profession.
Before serving in the military, Erik had spent time in the Clinton White House, in both the Office of Legislative Affairs and Office of Scheduling and Advance, and also at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington D.C.
Erik earned his Joint Honours B.A. in Political Science and Mideast Studies from McGill University, in Montreal, and his M.A. in International Relations from the University of Chicago.
